Highland Communications, Inc. has been constructing communications sites in the Pacific Northwest since 2001. The company is licensed in Washington State, Oregon, Idaho, and Colorado and Wyoming. We offer quality construction services to include the erection of buildings and towers, and do most of our work in-house. There are few small companies like Highland able to be competitive in the industry. One of the reasons Highland continues to be successful includes the ability to keep and maintain loyal employees and training them adequately to ensure that the company has a safety record that is without flaw. We have a perfect safety record. Other reasons we maintain our company in the volatile communications industry include our highly trained OSHA certified tower climbers, our skilled concrete crew and ground crew, and our exemplary customer service. We have a reputation as the "go-to" company, to provide service on demand when the customer needs it.
Highland maintains contracts with AT&T, American Tower, T-Mobile, General Dynamics, Pyramid Network Services, to name a few. The company has constructed many raw-land sites which constitute erection of a communications tower from the ground work to completion. We have functioned to demo towers, co-locate antennas on existing structures, and troubleshoot with maintenance.
In 2008 Highland created an LLC, Highland Energy Systems, migrating into the arena of wind towers and solar power. We have erected several wind turbines and towers in Washington State, as well as several solar projects. Recently we have been working to promote community wind turbines, and have two projects in planning and design stages, one for a farm in Eastern Washington and another for a community wanting to supplement their power use for water and sewage plants with wind and solar. Another specialty includes the erection of meteorological survey towers with the purpose of securing anemometer studies on wind. As a communications construction company, we also hope to encourage the owners of the many thousands of communications towers in Washington State to utilize renewable energy to supplement the energy needs of their communications sites.
